One in a Minion

Small acts when multiplied by millions of people can transform the world!

Week #47 LIFE'S Simple Pleasures - RAKs

Random Acts of Kindness.... have you ever been the recipient of one?  If so, how did it make you feel???

I've read all over....blogs, magazine/newspaper articles etc.... one feel good random act is paying for someones coffee at Starbucks.

I don't know who actually started that... and of all places where a coffee could cost up to $5... a kind soul will let the barista know that they are paying for the order behind them ... and then drive off with a smile on their face and the car behind them looking confused when the drive through attendee says the car in front of you paid for it already!!!  (Like people who go to Starbucks really need help paying for something.... but I digress.... its the random act we are to admire!)

Kindness is a very big thing.

Sincerely compliment someone every day, always keep your word, leave kind notes for people, be forgiving, accept others kindness....

Leave money in a public place for someone to find.
Don’t just drop a few pennies. Leave a five or ten dollar bill. Don’t think about where the money will be spent, it is about spreading kindness, not controlling how your kindness is used.

And shop on Small Business Saturday....  November 30, 2013.... instead of going to Hallmark, support a crafty and whimsical creative greetings card company!!!

Can You be in Love with a Monster?

- To Be or nut..I mean NOT!
- Sense this

Cute little guy! Reminds me of Mike Wazinski from Monsters Inc. He's the cute one voiced by Billy Crystal. I liked that movie!!!! Used left over 'digi' paper here. Which means that my printer ink is wasting.... I mean being used to print the paper. Not sure which is more cost effective... pre printed scrapbook paper for .59 c a sheet (get it on sale or with a coupon!!) or buying card stock and printing your own paper, with your own ink... but you can really color match and coordinate all your elements... more on that to come, after I finish my on line 'digital workshop' with Jessica Sprague & Heidi Swapp... called "Mouse, Paper, Scissors". So far the class is so worth the price... it's this darn job getting in my way. (CASed card)On the "LOVE" machine above, the heart is a glittered up with glossy embossing powder and it's sparkly!!! and pretty..buttons add just the touch, and end of tail is popped up.. just the right card to send as FuN MaiL to some snotty, but cute little rugrat, or dust bunny, or ankle bitter.... just SEND FuN MaiL!!! Get your cards from me.... plenty of cuteness in stock!!!!

I keep forgetting... it's kind of TMI (too much information) but the toilets in the bathrooms at work have automatic sensors on them, freaks me out each time I'm in there and I move away.... gathering my 'stuff' and roarrrrrrr, swishhhhhhhh, flush..... it happens all by itself!!! Better not accidentally drop anything.

You're a blast!

This card was so fun!!! I've now realized my circle punches, although I have 4 (enough you'd think) I should be able to stack the circles to get that cool framed affect... but because of the sizes I have, I don't always have that stacked next size bigger look. Maybe I'll have to get ALL the Nestabilities to get that stepping stone affect. The amazing thing about this card is that behind the red half circle and the rocket is recycled acetate. (clear plastic from something) So this card is partially see through. The image is SU! but drawn... ribbon, star punch... a cool boy card.

So, I'll say something good about work (however, it's much more fun to talk about the crazy & insane patients)... during the holidays, a few regular patients felt in their heart to make cookies and bring in homeamde treats!! That was very nice, but there is only so much of that you can eat... and being a small office with the different diet restrictions some have, it was a sad waste, at times! I could never imagine bringing treats into my doctor's or dentist office! Salesman or pharmasutical reps bring in lunch sometimes for the entire office, a way to smooze the doctor, that's a nice treat!

A Zen Saying
Sit quietly, doing nothing, spring comes, and the grass grows by itself.

Hope your Christmas is a blast

Saw this cute card in Paper Crafts mag and was inspired!! Myrtle, who I work with, is repainting her grandson's room with a space theme. When I heard her story and saw this card, I put two and two together. At stamp camp earlier this year, MK had shown us how to use the SU! punches to create that saturn ring. I used thing wire to make the solar system, the gal in the mag used a sparkly gel pen.
I though the card turned out way cute... now Myrtle has something to add to her already wonderful themed room for her grandson!
