It's a shower

Here's a special card I made for a friends' request for a wedding shower.  Get it???  I saw the idea for a shower curtain and thought it was quite adorable.  I used a skewer for the rod and cut it down and then propped it up on foam tape.  The curtain is material that I punched holes into, so you can actually open and shut the curtain.  Cross your fingers and hope that it stays together!!!
This past weekend we went to Southern Indiana for a wedding reception for one of my DH's nephews.  B & T got married 3 weeks ago in a Las Vegas destination wedding.  We got to see it LIVE on the computer.  That was real interesting to witness the wedding via the computer.  They then had their wedding reception this past weekend in Terre Haute Indiana.  It had a gambling theme, with dice and bingo, prizes for the guests, a candy bar that we could fill up little Chinese takeout containers.  The dancing was fun, the couple was gorgeous ( they had their tux and gown on) and it was fun to see some of my DH's family. First time wedding reception for the kids. Sissy didn't like the way I was dancing... I think she wouldn't like anything I did. Then before we came home yesterday, we stopped and walked around Indiana State's campus.  Hubby's Alma mater.
Back to 'normal' today.

Simple Shower card

I think this is an old card that got stuck in the bunch..... it could be an under the weather card, or it could be a bridal/baby shower card.... I wonder why this was in the bunch of cards I took pictures of . One of those things that makes you go hmmmmmmmm!!!

Got a dusting of snow over night, but the sun is SHINING and the sky is blue. Missed a whole weekend with Sissy at a tournament. Feel like I'm 3 days behind. I got to go to Ikea yesterday... didn't find all the things I was looking for. That place is always so crowded. I'm getting old, I really hate it when people stop in the middle of aisle and you can't get around them, creepy sniffling children crawling around touching everything.... it's too hard to look and imagine what I can do with their stuff. On different blogs people comment about their great finds.... I didn't find those~ Oh well, saved money. Sissy's team won their silver bracket... hard to explain... but they came in 11th out of 20 teams in their division Well, we're off to get braces.....

Bridal Shower Invites

Here are a few samples of 3 different layouts for a bridal shower invitation. Choices of: wording, text size, font, color of text, choices of colors for background paper, choices of image. This one invitation I would consider large at 6"H x 9" W

Pull out invitation. Can be as formal as you want, or informal and whimsical. Text style can be adjusted. This invitation is 4-1/4" x 5-1/2"

This is the card that would be pulled out.

And finally... I didn't have any on hand, but the text could be printed on a vellum paper, which is opaque. Choices of ribbon and paper

As you can see this is only 3 invitations, and you have many, many variations within each card layout ~colors, ribbon, font style, size, wording.

Shower Card

Love the colors. The umbrella is based off a SU stamp, but I have a tiny flower image that I use to create the same idea. This was a special requested card.
