Ok, who stopped the payment on my reality check?

This cute spinner card is an idea cased from erin k creations http://erinkcreations.blogspot.com/index.html .... what a cute and fun idea. The punched area really spins 'cuz it's connected to a thread suspended in the opening. I love these lady bugs from the TAC catalog. The pp is from a bunch of fun stuff Suzy Q gave me to play with. I used the cuttlebug for the punched opening.

Always remember you're unique just like everyone else!

Love the color combo of this paper from SU! Cuttlebugged the swirls on the background paper. Using the Caribbean blue ink... so refreshing!

Give me ambiguity or give me something else!

Used my scallop scissors and came back to draw in the squiggles. I go back and forth with the simple designs.... thinking there is not enough 'stuff' on the card. But I like having flexibility... going back and forth between heavily embellished and then simple easy to look at cards!

Ever stop to think and forget to start again?

Asian inspired.... the image is hand drawn cased from the SU! catalog. Background paper is from a Far Asian stack that I got real cheap at J's. I added a stamped off image with the symbol of love.... it's very faint. The flower image is popped up. Inside it reads 'wishing you joy'... a $1 stamp from M's. I love the red 'ness' of this card.

Working outside the box... or er circle

These are old patterned paper from a few years ago... but I've been trying to go through my old stash and what's old is new again. Holly REALLY didn't think the images went together... what does she know....I figure if it's in the same pad of paper next to each other, they meant it to be used together. Seems as if all my anniversary cards are frilly with flowers on them... so this is more 'masculine'? The stamp is from the $1 bin at M's.

Trying to go back to simplicity

After exhausting myself trying to CASE some beautiful cards that seem to have layer upon layer, inked edges and lots of brads, I decided to go back to my basic format. Colored card stock, some sort of pp (patterned paper) cut slightly small and adhere on top, adding some sort of fiber or ribbon. Then stamping or drawing a smallish image, placing a mat around that and pop mounting it to the patterned paper front. And then punching a circle with image, tying that into the ribbon not... and wal-LA.... me go to card image. Simple and lovely!

Doodle This

I love that doodling is 'in'.... cuz when you doodle, you can't really go wrong. Sorry I haven't been creative, it's too fun, and too easy to CASE things. Obviously... I'm casing the idea.... cuz mine are all hand drawn and according to those who list their recipe of supplies, mine are normally something similar that I have handy. I like the brown and light blue combination. It's a stress reliever trying to cut out 'perfect' doodled flowers!

Baby Bop

What I have been doing lately to 'change it up a bit'... is, I pick random cardstock.... go to my patterned paper bin, find a contrasting or matching pp and stock pile it all. Then I go through my recipe cards and pick one out at random and see if the recipe fits.... stripped pp going horizontal, or dotted pp.... then I find an image and embellishments and finish the card. Sometimes I don't come up with anything... but having the card folded and matching pp helps me get going. This image is CASED from a TAC catalog.

Do you really want to see it?

Where my creativity begins and ends. Here are some pictures of my 'design' "studio". I normally work off a 10"x10" square ~ semi clean area on my desk. I push everything aside and color, cut, copy (case) glue, embellish etc.... when I move on to the next card... I push all the markers and doodly stuff away from my immediate area! Just push it away!!!! Every couple of days I sit and put all the pens away, put the stamps back in their 'correct' cases, pick up the tiniest scrap of paper or sticky back, put ribbon and emebellishments back in their spot.... and about 5 minutes later... it looks the same.... everything back and close at hand!

The other pictures are of the closet where I store suppplies. The dresser was DS when he was a baby... it holds travel books, my sewing stuff and other knick knacks. I like it in their... my completed cards are on top... easy for picking!

The other photo is my work station with my fun Cuttlebug and all my punches, my Fiskar papper cutter and my view out into the backyard!

Hello Dolly

I exhausted all my creative designs and am now going back through old magazine, idea pages and Catalogs. I love this image from TAC... the Ragedy Ann Doll on a shelf. The heart on her smock pops up. I'm still working on my shading technique. She makes me smile!!

It's a bugs life

Cased TAC image with the circles. The busy bee bugging around!

Bliss!

I haven't tried this in a while, but I snapped a digital picture of our original wedding photo and then uploaded it. Over at the Stamp Shack http://stamp-shack.com/index.php one of the posters wanted to see everybodies wedding pics. You can tell all the girls married in the early '90's with the headband veils. DD thinks I look hookey. I think I look rather smart.... and so does dh....hubba hubba... tuxes other than the white ones...never go out of style!!

Bug spots

More bugs from casing the TAC catalog. I used a circle template to create the different sized circles.... images are all drawn, but copied from the TAC images. I was playing around with my water color pencils and using an old blender pen that I dip in a glycerine, alcohol & distilled water mixture. I like the results. And definitely like these images.
