Spring Time

Oh what a beautiful day! I'm so glad to report this! I could live here if the weather was like this 280 days a year. Mid 70s, glorious sunshine, blue sky and just a mild breeze with NO humidity. Perfect!!!!

This little bunny pretty much sums up my feelings, a good little friend, a beautiful flower made by God, and a good sniffer to stop and smell the flowers! Whipper Snapper case!

Here are the boys!!

Omlets for breakfast sure draw a crowd. Hubby tried to capture the boys, at first when he went to get the camera in another room, they were curious where he went.... so the pose was lost. Then he left the camera on the counter and got ready to take a picture and Cooper walked away {thinking he didn't want any of this stuff}. Finally, with the smell of eggs cooking they decided to stay close to me in case anything flew out of the frying pan and he got these pictures!!

We've got all kinds of names for the boys.... Cooper is:
Pooper, Coopy, Fluffy, the Coopster, little pony, Coop doggie dog....

now that Tucker is really the fluffy one.... he is Tucky, little Tuck Man, tiny.... so far... I'll bet there will be more!

Cupcakes for you

I've seen this image multiple times and decided I'd have a doodle! Then I saw this really cute layout with the Happy Birthday emobossed folder and thought, why not make this one! And then...

I saw that the card design had a pop up cupcake for one inside and had to make it!!

I just love surprises, big and little... well not surprise parties, but surprise events for others, the unexpected fun little things that happen when you find a dollar in a jean pocket, someone lets you in on traffic, something is actually cheaper than the sign said when you check it out, your child holding the door open.... stuff like that!! Happy Day

Embrace Life

Went to stamp camp last week. Here is one of the cards I made. Although I get inspired looking at all the web sites and blogs on the internet, it's always fun to actually go to a class where things are 'live' and learn how to make cards. If I already know the technique, it's fun for a refresher and mostly a different way to look at all the materials to put them together and create a new wonderful card, like this one.

Went driving for an hour last night with number one son! He is doing much better, practice, practice practice.... but being in the car with a new teenage driver, and working in an eye doctors office with people in their 80's (with poor eyesight or even worse poor coordination and listening skills) who insist on driving.... the roads out there are a scary place... I warn you!!!

Galoshes

We got almost two inches of rain over night, so I think I need to wear my rubber boots today, but look what popped out? Mr. Bunny, he must have been trying to keep dry!

This is 1/10th of a one sheet wonder (OSW) group of cards I'm making. They all have the patterned paper on them. Stay tuned for more!

Whose the big cheese in your house??

Here's a fun hello card for any mouse lover, or if any one likes holy swiss cheese!!! Another Whipper Snapper Design. Found some fun ribbon with
the polka dots, matches the theme! Still love doodling and trying to find the shading. The image is popped up.

As you can see... it appears as though Tucker has exhausted Cooper. Or, is Tucker more of a ham for the camera? Or, could Cooper care less, he's comfortable? What would your caption be for this photo?

Pull the heartstrings of my love

Love the animals at Whipper snapper designs. <------ I tried to provide the link there so you can see their original image of the mouse and compare it to my drawing technique. Some of their animals are cuter than others. So, by drawing I can inter change the animals that I like. I stamped the background paper to look like a bandana print (with the paisley swirls and flowers), adding black images and then dotting with the white gel pen. The heart is on a pop up dot!

It has been a great weekend! We've gotten lots done around the house, the sun has been shinning every day, not humid (yet) washed cars, cleaned out the garage, finished the yard, grilled and ate outside, had the Grands come for a visit... and of course watched the new addition (Tucker) interact with all of our activities. Poor Cooper is stressed, I think he can't believe the little fur ball is staying! We are trying to make things as normal and special for Cooper.

*Life Happens

I'm on a roll, you could say I'm like butter! Hee hee!! Even witht he beautiful weather ( yay! that makes me so happy!) I've been up in my creative place making cards.

Here's a cute little whipper snapper birdie taking a bath! With the flower, I used 'real' fake flowers that I pull off the stem... and now I ink them to match the project. I also learned to stamp images on the flower... like dots and circles to match the background paper.

Tucker up date: One tiny accident in the house, sleeping through the nite in his kennel... Cooper is still very suspicious of him.... I'll try and get a picture of the two puppies together, some time this weekend.

Tucker is in da house

I can't believe we did this, but we got another dog! We are a two dog family now.... one medium black lab mix Cooper, and one tiny golden little pomeranian Tucker! These are my first pictures this morning... I'll have to take more when I can get better lighting and he looks more adorably cute. He will be one in two weeks... seems house trained, and the two dogs are getting along... best they can, but it's been less than 12 hours.

Stay tuned!

In honor of 19

anniversaries for me and DH, I've made a few anniversary cards, to fill up inventory, just to make and have fun, whatever the case is.... a few cards. The more I create, the more I figure out that I don't have very many sentiment or phrase stamps. So, I might start looking for some cheap... maybe on ebay... I don't care if they are old or retired... a sentiment is still the same years from now!!!

Beautiful spring/summer like weather. No complaints! Everything is in full bloom, the birds are chirping, the sky is blue, my wind chimes are ting-a-linging.... my kind of day!!! Hope the sun is shinning in your neck of the woods!

Charley Cards with a Zindorf Twist

It's time to visit Charley... we haven't seen her for a while! And here she is posing for me on four different cards with Zindorf brayer and inking techniques.

Although my Cooper is just as adorable as Charlie, she has more character to draw with the curly hair.

It's fun to combine my whimsy with the brayer and wet embossing techniques I've learned from Zindorf tutorials.

I was so excited to create these, I forgot to put in the hidden hearts that were going to be my trademark for these cards. Darn!!!!!

What 13-1/2 looks like

Sissy had a big 8th grade dance over the weekend. The 'girls' were stunningly beautiful. They are all so eager to grow up. Here are a few pictures.

What 15-1/2 looks like

So, as I've gotten older, at times I try to remember what it was like to be a teenager, and don't remember much. What I remember is the few pictures I took. What did my room look like when I was 16?? Could I tell some of my personality by looking at the 'things' I had on my walls, what I collected on my tack board? What books were in my book shelf???

And now think the digital camera is the coolest invention ever. No more film, the cost of purchase and developing, and then paying for crappy underlit, over exposed pictures! You can take hundreds, and thousands of pictures and toss out every one or use 10, whatever. So, I have a small quest of going around taking pictures of not just the 'special' events in our lives, but our every day life!

Here is my teenager, with Playstation in his room, one day after school.

He enjoys this, and here is his room. All boy!!! Hockey player, tennis player, speaks Chinese, high honors, just became an upper classmen mentor, chef.... and little boy with his video toys!!!

Stay tuned for more life!

My front door!

Well, I do other things crafty besides making cards. Really, I do.

Years ago before the kids were born, I went to MATC... Milwaukee Area Technical College, I actually have a certificate in Floral Design... ha ha! Really, I do, but it's funny to say.

Here's my front door wreath that I hot glued together last week. And you can get a snippet of what it's like to be welcomed into my house... a few of my antiques, tastefully placed. It is so funny... (funny and really I do, my two phrases of the day!) my walls are a light light butter cream yellow, but always come out stark white with my wee little digital camera.

A friend of mine, actually, I've been inspired a couple of times... collect their Sir Name first letter... so I started doing that, and using them as wall art etc.... thus the R's.

There are lots of parts of my house that I really like. The front door entryway is one of them. Welcome to my house!!

Anniversary time

Made a few Anniversary cards...here's one! It's that time of year for weddings, which means anniversaries too. DH and I will be celebrating 19 years coming up this week! Just added lots of swirls to this card, more fancy than whimsy!

Thanks for stopping by. I don't have much to say today. Happy to see the sun! And, I love to show off what I make!!!

Zindorf 5-10

Last week Michell Zindorf was traveling back from one of her teaching gigs, but she managed to squeeze in a tutorial... mine looks somewhat similar to hers. I just love the rocks!! The tree and words are stamped images, but I doodled the rocks. I have so much fun doing Zindorf cards!!!

On a bubba note: High school tennis is done for the season. I think he and his partner #2 doubles JV finished 7-1. He seemed to really enjoy the season... I think this means only 3 weeks of school left for him. Then he will officially be a junior!!!

Bloomin' Butterflies

Here's a cute little casing from Markie's Mom. I like the colors here in the picture than I do IRL. Still in the middle of creating Bridal Shower invites... I'll be done with those this week. Just an easy day... so nice!

Shoes make me happy!

What silly fun accessory makes you happy? Well, drawing cute shoes and bags with fun colors makes me happy too! This would be a great card to give to a friend. Just a simple doodle and paper piecing together, matching colors, simple and cute!!
