Happy Black Friday

I've been playing around too much with my blog that now I've 'done it'. I can't get my image to appear. I will have to figure something out later. No shopping for me as an early bird.... what could I want... I couldn't even look through all of those ads that came in the paper yesterday. I've got to put away dishes from Turkey day.... the Christmas tree is half way up and needs to be decorated. There is laundry to fold, rooms to pick up, take the pooch for a walk and maybe go see the movie Twilight. Shopping.... not for me.... hope you found some good buys!

Ho Ho Ho and you know....

inspired ~
This cute gal I believe is Stella from the Bella series stamps. She seems to have some rough edges around her and won't take 'no' crap, if you know what I mean! Thought it was cute in the pink and green un-traditional holiday colors.
Used SU! punches for the corner and word window. Used markers to color her in! Trying to be like Markies Mom with all the dots around each layer.
The turkey is thawing, we made cranberry and apple salsa last night. I have to work a full day today. Happy Thanksgiving eve!!

Ice cream in Winter

*Inspired ~
Which means a SNOW cone!!! Image again is those cute snowballs from Whipper Snapper designs. I added some stickles to the sprinkles. I think I have to add something to the card, it's kind of plain around the edges... a popped up saying, ribbon... hmmm.. something... any ideas?
*inspired means I saw the image and totally copied it by drawing it myself. I've been drawing for over 35 years and have worked very hard to be able to get it right when I copy! To be original.... now that's another task I'm working on!!

Snowfall

Inspired ~ I love these snow ball guys, I believe from Whipper Snapper. They are so cute and jolly. This guys is cheering for a snow FALL.... we woke up this morning with a dusting of snow... it looks pretty outside. We got our outdoor Christmas decorations up this weekend. It was fairly decent to be outside and on the roof. We will light the house... gotta wait until after Thanksgiving.... I'll post a picture of our picturesque cute house with lights.

Used markers to color him in. Patterned paper background from a stack pack.

Okay, I'm done with winter... is it spring yet???

Monkey Business

Inspired ~ have you seen this cute guy floating around the net! Simply adorable!!! Again a few circles here and there. Getting that right shine makes the ornaments dimensional. There are stickles on his pom pom and fluffy parts of his hat. This entire image is colored with markers.

Today the boys are volunteering at a food pantry. As part of of their community projects for the hockey team, they are helping load up the turkeys and pack the food shelves. Bubba went around to neighbors to collect food.

Sissy and I are off to stamp camp this morning. I'm letting her come with me as a part of mother/daughter bonding!

See this monkey.... and do!

The big guy himself

Inspired ~ look at that cute little tuft of hair at his temples? This guy looks jolly! Again, I think it's a Whipper Snapper Design. Got the ribbon as a gift, it adds a nice touch. Sponged the light blue background. Stickles on the fluff of his cap... he's peeking to see if you've been naughty or nice!!
And so, tell me??
Happy Day y'all!

Peas on Earth

Inspired ~ Come on now, how hard is it to draw 3 circles with a template? Easy 'pea'sy!!! I think this is a SU! image... that is too too cute. Nothing special here, except the cute peas!!
I'm drinking my chai tea, as I check email and get ready to go to work!!
*Dad, please note.... I adjusted the time... so now it is real time!!*
Happy Day
Peas out!!

This bear will warm your heart!

I thought I was going to start the post with an update on Polar bears and global warming... but I don't think I know how accurate that information is .... so on to cute stuff instead.
I used my nestabilities scallop square and realized my paper wasn't big enough, so it came out with the cut off affect. It will do. I love the cool blues and greens together. Stickled 'icicle' on his pom pom and scarf. The image is inspired by Whipper Snapper designs. The snowflake embossing folder is the main card. Used a snowflake embellishment to carry the theme.

Holiday Countdown

Okay, nobody believes it, but Thanksgiving is next week, and before you know it, the lights are up, the Christmas cards are mailed and you need to have your shopping done! Zip, boom, bam!
I've started working on holiday cards! I especially LOVE the whimsical ones...these this week are mainly from Whipper Snapper Design.
This cute reindeer I had to draw a couple of times because I couldn't quite get his body in proportion to the rest of his big feet and horns!
Colored in using water color pencils and the blender pen. There are Stickles on his little hat puff!! This would be a perfect holiday note card!

Giving Thanks

It's interesting looking at my own cards after I post them to the blog, I see things I didn't see while creating! The pumpkin looks like it's floating. I might have to ground it some how. I love the people who discovered using punches to create other things. Three oval punches put together = a pumpkin!
The thermometer outside reads 22 degrees. I sit here drinking my chai tea... looking out the window at all the bare trees and bushes. Brrrrr.... I work later this afternoon. It's time to start my day... go organize a few piles, sweep up a few fur balls, make a bed, do a load of laundry and maybe sneak into my office to play!
Happy Day all!

Here's a cute inspired card!! I really enjoy using the cuttlebug and all the different embossing folders! I think it was a great invention to the scrapbooking/cardmaking world! Look at that dimension with the swiss dots everywhere!!!
Now that it's fall... I like the earth tone colors for cards... no pastels now... then next week... it will be the traditional holiday colors. Need to get working on those cards next!! Wouldn't you love a hug from the hug monster????

Cupcake wish

I had the paisley scrap piece of paper, and worked backwords from there. Selecting the other solid color papers, then drawing the special little cake with wavy frosting. The colors don't look the same in the picture as they do on the actual card. It's interesting sometimes how the camera gets fooled. Cuttlebugged the birthday embossing folder... since it is a vertical folder, I had to run it through twice on my horizontal paper.
Check out my labels to the right to find the grouping of cards. Click on i.e. anniversary card and it will open the post just to anniversary cards!!
Happy Day... doctors out....I'm off to play! well and clean... and well rake up leaves!!

More Inspired by Nature & Upsy Daisy

I really like this stamp set. I felt a bit more inspired last week to create a few more of these cards, after casing the ideas off of SCS. Just love them! Have a great fall day!

Tall birthday cake stand

Ornate and fun.... an image I was inspired to draw from SU! I had some stickers too, I think that came in the mail, soliciting Creative Keepsakes, or something like that... so I used them on this card. Stickles for the sparkles on top and in the middle.

Just showing off!

It's my blog! Obviously, that's what I do... show off my work. Hoping you will like what you see, to either make a comment, or tell me you'd like a card... or two or 12!!!! This card was fun. I always like going back to Stamps by Judith images! Because most of her images keep that sketchy look to them, they are quite easy to copy (CASE, be inspired). This little bird is always micheveous and fun to draw.
Inventory up, sales low, buy buy buy for holiday gift giving!!

Guess what we're celebrating???

So, as you know, I work as a receptionist at an Ophthalmolgy office (eye surgeon)... I'm fairly new, having been there just about a month. There is a total of 5 of us in the office and that includes the Doctor. I guess the 3 other ladies often bring in food for celebrations etc.... I guess they forgot about bosses day, which was October 16.... so we mixed the two holidays together, yesterday, Halloween... I designed a card for the occasion.

I was trying to be nice giving each of the girls a special 'hat' to wear. The card is signed, Happy Boss' Day!!!

I'm on the end with the artist beret!
