Local Artists Need Support

Hello and welcome to my blog!
I am a creative soul and love to make 'something' every day!

Layered HELLO card

For too many years, (more that I can count now, but I have a few cards I made for my husband almost 30 years ago...) I have made hundreds and even thousands of greeting cards.

They are such a creative outlet for me.

I love that God has given me a gift that I try and use every day.  I practice all the time to make progress... which in turn, has become my version of perfecting what I do!

Get Well Soon

I hand doodle all kinds of cards.  Doodle, draw, sketch.... paint, computer generate, ink/rubber stamp... and all unique, one of a kind cards!  Yes, I admit that I am a copy artist!!! Sometimes I get my ideas from other places... but I do not trace or use someone elses image... unless it is from the paper I get from one of the craft stores.

Smiling Frogs

I admit that sometimes I'm like a kid in a candy store... there are so many cute ideas, posting, blogs, Pinterest and other adorable things out there on the internet....and I am greatly inspired to recreate some of the cuteness!

And I feel guilty.  But, I am often reassured that it is okay to Steal Like and Artist. by Austin Kleon.  So, if he says it's okay... then it's okay?   Right???

Gift Pack of cards
Birthday Gift

Oh boy do I love to make money supporting my habit, I mean my hobby! My cards mostly start at $3.50 each.  Yes, according to 'some' people.... whomever you are... I sell myself short!  I am blessed and fortunate this isn't my only livelihood.... but it makes my living lively!

It's my gift to you, if you like what I do!

I'm on a resurgence if you will, a big kick, on the bandwagon...on my soapbox... support local artist!!!!  If you know someone who is a creative, buy from them.

Come back and visit me here again at my blog.  On the left side you can click on any one of the labels and it will take you a post of my made cards. It gives you an idea of the variety of cards I can make!

Memory Keeping

Hello Friends!
There is an ebb and flow to writing and creating!
I can't tell you how much I missed blogging!!!

This is the place that I wrote stories and shared experiences, and where I would show off my creations.  Sometimes, I thought why bother?  And then there were times I thought I had something good and positive to share and I just couldn't get myself to fully express a thought.
Cliches'... I'm willing to get back up in the saddle.

Another reason to come back to blogging and sharing pictures of daily life or cards that I create, is because it may the best place to keep it all safe! Right here on the WWW for the entire world to view!

I have been following Becky Higgins
and she is in the business of Documenting Life.  Because of recent weather disasters, she wrote a very important blog post for family history documentors , memory keepers and scrapbookers ... how to keep these important memory books safe... during natural floods, hurricanes, tornados and unexpected fires and other natural disasters.
Heavy Topic!

(insert cute picture here)

I still have a way to go in reading her post (it's long, but full of great content).... but I feel the topic is important for me to share as well.  I have been a journaler for-evah....I have made scrapbooks (faux and real), I take digital pictures, I edit digital pictures in apps and save them to computer hard drives... but what would happen 'IF' .... all those hours of creating scrap books, baby pictures, photo books etc....were tragically left behind and lost.

Pop Up Card - Custom made

It's important to back up, back up, BACK UP!

But right now I'm so confused.  I don't know the difference between a USB, Hard Drive, Thumbnail, Icloud, Dropbox, fidgit spinner.... and if I'm going to be my own designated keeper of memories... I need to do it with some semblance of order.

So, come along with me on this new journey!!!!
... well, maybe not so new journey
..... and if you feel it's important to keep your memories safe, maybe I can help you get focused and we can share what we learn.

As always, I would love to hear from you!  I am open to constructive advice.  If you can't access a link on my blog, or something doesn't make sense, please send me an email.  I always say, I don't know, what I don't know!!!

Also, I make creative greeting cards and other hand drawn items.  Support local artists!
What can I create for you????

Love Fits

Life happens.
So does death. Sadly
When it is a furry friend there
are so many different emotions.

Greeting cards are simple.

I create them from the heart.

Hoot More

Hi Blog Friends!

Are there some days you really couldn't give a flying hoot about what's happening in the world???

Not give a HOOT: to not be interested (or give a damn)

There is always a lot going on... but if you turn off the computer and the television, don't read the paper or listen to the radio.... are you really better off not knowing what's going on? Is ignorance bliss?

I get caught up in this dilemma often!!

Is it important to care about what's happening in the world around us?  Certainly!!

Are there a lot of crazy things happening out of one's control?  Absolutely!!!

Should you try your best to treat others with kindness and compassion?  Yes, definitely!!

Can you be all things to all people?  No, it can't be done!

So, with that as my justified answer, I'm going to try my best to continue and SHINE in my corner of the world.

Here are two recent cards I created in a series of Owl Creative Greeting Cards.

Book Page Doodle

Most all of my cards are invitation size, A2 which is 4-1/4" x 5-1/2".  I doodled on an old book page and added watercolors.

Swirly Owl

This one is cropped close, you can't even see the card back.... but the recipient surely could color in the swirly owl!

Do you wish to BRIGHTEN Someone's Day?  FuN Mail is a good way to do it!

I've said it for years, we often don't look forward to going to the mailbox anymore because it's filled with bills or ads for things we don't need.  However, if we started a movement to send out more HAPPY Mail, or more FuN MaiL.....  it would be a way to let a friend know that you were thinking of them.

Who? Doesn't need a little more SHINE in their life???

I make FuN MaiL!!!

What can I create for you?

All heARTS Day

Hello Blog Friends!
Are you looking for some Valentine loving?

I always have some cards 'in stock'.... (currently, these posted today on my blog... are one of a kind and in stock) and because most all of my cards are uniquely doodled or hand embellished... I can re-create cards listed in the categories on the left side of my blog.... however, they are <---- are="" b="" because="" however="" they="">one of a kind papers, inks ...and actual colors might vary, slightly if something is re-created!!

So, you  might like little piggies, or doggies, or cupids or just lots of hearts.... pick out a theme or a color scheme and I'd be happy to create a whimsical creative greeting just for you... for you to give to that special someone in your life... someone who deserves more than a last minute grocery store card.

Mosaic Heart

*Most cards are invitation size 4-1/4" x 5-1/2" and come with an envelope.  Starting at $3.50 ... I figure out for the best mailing cost to you and always... the more you purchase the better your value!

Remember, my cards are handmade (original artwork by me... may be computer generated for a doodle, and purchased rubber stamps)  and *most are made to order.... *most of the time they are blank on the inside for you to add your personal sentiments!

*And I say MOST, because there are soooooo many possibilities, right?  Why limit yourself!!!!

Isn't time for you to

Send A little Love in your Mail Box

Hello Blog Friends,

We are at Week #4 of 2017.

I'm keeping track of the weeks of the year in a few ways.  To challenge myself, if life unto itself is not challenge enough, I subscribe to a Doodle Challenge or two, Word Challenges and Self Care Challenges, that are all documented around the weeks.

As my part of the Year of MORE... and the easy way I put a twist on it... I want to be MORE of myself... (not self-centered, and I'm all that) but just turn it up a notch and be, do, share a little bit more of what I have to offer.

I may have stated it here before... but like computers, cell phones and any technology... you can have the basic model... but once the creators find something new to add to 'it' to make it better... they number it so you can update and be current.  Better than before.

So, the original me ... was, Peggy.  Then I became Peggy 1.0..... right now, I'm way above a 10 currently, (old school, like the movie I'm a TEN) like when people say age is just a number .... trust me... I'm Peggy but new and improved with every experience, learning opportunity and challenge... I'm trying my best to be updated... or up to date.... to give, share, do.... SHINE... with MORE!

Here's one thing I bet you didn't know about me, I make whimsical greeting cards!
****shameless plug****

This hobby of mine really is almost all I talk about here on my blog!  Valentine's Day is coming up.... why not send some snail mail to a friend?

BEE Mine

To be totally honest with you, because when it comes from my heart talking about myself.... I don't know how to be otherwise.... this "hobby" of mine really hasn't taken off  how I thought it would.

I'm not ready to give up on it, however!

I thought maybe, I would have returning customers, or new customers wanting cards to send to their friends... purchasing every month, or throughout the year. and buying packs of greeting cards to give as gifts.

From what I can tell, you my friends love to receive my cards as a gift... but after that... the world has become too busy and well ... sales are non-existent. (Poor me)

Love Me... Tucker

I'm a little sad about it. But hey,  I am very blessed and fortunate that I don't make cards or art for a living... I'd really be that 'starving artist'.

Hearts of Love

Meantime, while I work on my purpose, and while I explore  MORE of me to be an even 'better' version.... I will continue to work on art from my heart.

Cards like the one above don't have to be sent out only on Valentine's Day.

From the small amount of research I've done (and actually, I've created a few surveys and calculated the data), people love finding snail mail in their mailbox. The hand addressed stamped envelope to them does really improve their mood and their outlook of the day.   It's amazing how they will tear open a greeting card to read it, (nicely use a  letter opener) versus tossing in a pile, the humdrum of the bills and marketing advertisements they receive on a daily basis. Snail mail is a card with the hug in its fold!!

With just a few weeks a way from Valentine's Day, I'd love to create some whimsy for you.  Contact me in the comment section, or send me an email at  My greeting cards will surely
Brighten Someone's Day!

I am Accountable for my Doodles

Hello Blog Friends!

We are in Week #2 of  2017, how is it going so far?

It's one of those things that it's 'hard to believe' how fast time flies', right... I know!

Take a deep breath...

I'm talking accountability today.

Of course doodling and creating a greeting card is not really something that is expected to have to justify its actions, being responsible or decisions making... but for me... my intentions are to be fully in my creative space and make something that will eventually Brighten Someone's Day... my purpose in sharing my creativity... the accountability factor is that I am do this, fully involved and ready to spread SHINE in my corner of the world. How would you know what I do, if I didn't show you???

Love animals?  Here is a super duper Cooper doodle card!

Sweet welcome baby card.

Bottom line, I'm a show off... to make a deliberate or pretentious display of one's abilities or accomplishments.  I consider myself a copy artist.  I can pretty much look at something and recreate it...I can draw something realistic with colored pencils, and by adding shading and highlights... I can doodle a whimsical character with bright markers, watercolors and fun embellishments... and using a computer I can do comprehensive layouts of forms and fliers and other informational pieces.

If you like what I do, I would love to create for you... you can send me an email at

Don't you think it's time to Brighten Someone's Day???

There's More!

Happy New Year blog friends!
I'm so happy you are here!

It's time to start everything fresh, right!

Shouldn't we do that EVERYDAY?  Each year we have 365 days to start over, there is always such a push on those first few days in January... and then it slowly fades away...

Just now my husband went to the gym and I was going to join him in a bit, but the parking lot is full!  Always that excitement of 'getting back' into shape.

It's not by any means that I think outside the box... which I know I should do more... but slow and steady..... I know that for the past two years I have diligently been going to the gym two days a week, at least, and then doing supplemental exercising with stretches and yoga and walking at home.

I've decided on my word for the year.  Something I intend to focus on.  MORE... I want to be MORE me!  Like a Peggy Sue  2.2 or even higher.
When I do something, consciously... I want to do it a little better, a little harder, and with a tad more intent.  I want to grow and be just a little bit better than I was the last time, or the day before.  So for instance... with the gym... I have an idea that I will walk a mile on the track... but when I'm actually there, I intentionally or consciously... walk another 2 laps, or another 5 minutes... something just a bit MORE!

I'm here to change my world!!! And those who are immediately a part of it!
I think of these goals, and what is really doable.  By no means am I outwardly putting myself down.... but to be REAL... I'm not a scientist, or a doctor or even a teacher.... (someone who can make a big difference for many others)

....but in my corner of the world... I can make a difference this year.... I can give MORE (if it's a donation of money or time.... I CAN step it up a notch). I can LIVE more, by being present in my situation and not comparing the moment to any other or any other person.  I can show MORE kindness, I can learn MORE and I can certainly do MORE.

In the mean time....

I will create MORE artwork and share MORE as gifts and orders to friends and family near and far...
So, always a ***shameless*** plug.... cards on my blog are for sale.  Just inquire and I will tell you if they are still available, if I have something similar or I can create it uniquely for you!

Here is to a new year.... a new year of MORE  .... SHINE MORE, and it depends on how you look at it... it could be Less is MORE or  MORE is less.... you'll just have to stop back.... because, wait... there's more!!
