The witch is in!!

Okay, so I give in to peer pressure, when other posters & bloggers talk about the cool stamps they get from Michael's. I couldn't resist!!! I made a few cards with the witchypoo shoes!! Nothing special on this card. The stripped pp is from my scrap bin. What I've been doing lately is pulling out scraps, matching them to card stock (either SU! or the huge card stock packs from HL) and then finding an image either stamped or doodled (by me)... finding a recipe on someones blog or gallery post and then running with the idea!!!

How can it be fall... I just checked the thermometer.... it says 94 degrees!!! Watch me next week, I'll be complaining about something else!!

Paper Piecing

I always thought it was piercing, well, I guess it could be. So, all the images on the cake, candle and flame are all different pieces of patterned paper. I really like this card. It's starting to get a little heavy. Of course, this is NOT an original design, but once again, all work is my own, just borrowed a few ideas from a fellow card maker.

PS Kim - ds did NOT have a date for Homecoming the hung out as a group of boys and girls.... he's a young freshman and not yet into the 'girl thang'.....thank goodness!!!

Fall Fashion

Both cards are inspired by images in the most recent TAC catalog.... no stamps, just my hand drawn doodle casing! Used a few things on the red card that I haven't in a while... large eyelets from SU! to hold the ribbon... I really like the unbalance, balance of this card. Also used my paper crimper to get the texture on the background paper.

On the card with the polka dots.... I was just going through my scrap bin trying to find something other than 'fall' or 'halloween' and found 'it'. Loved too, how I had some polka dot ribbon to 'tie' it all together!!

Going out for Homecoming

Here are the pics of Bubba posing on our front porch picture spot for his Homecoming Dance. He had gotten a haircut early in the day. Plus the Freshman A team won 40 - 0. He played defence today when they went for the P A T... point after touchdown. In the second photo we told him to really smile, but when he does, his eyes squint, so then we said open your eyes, so he did!! What a cutie patootie!!!

It's Homecoming at the high school

This is what our house looked like this morning! TP'd! We figure since ds is a freshman football player, there are some freshman cheerleaders on another block and think they did it.... I'm sure we'll hear more later.

One fall Day

Felt like fall today.... so nice and cool to work outside!
