Who knows?

Is it spring with all the rain? The calendar states it's still winter for another couple of weeks. A dark and dreary day on this daylight savings morning! I gotta get moving!!

Here's a cute little friend. Love purple and kiwi green together. Simple enough image and layout, cuttlebuggin swiss dots and the scallop circle with nesties, now I just have to come up with a great sentiment. He'll just be sitting in my 'almost' complete pile, waiting for a new home when he gets a cute fun saying!

Two more Zindorfs

Well, I don't want to say the cards reflect the day, after being a balmy 60 degrees (spring tease) here yesterday in the midwest ~ it is rainy and cloudy this Saturday morning... these newest Zindorfs really aren't sad cards, but the ambient light reflects their image!!

These two cards Michelle tutored ( is that a word?) on her blog this week. I love the butterfly one... a little bit of work with all the details, but I really love the end result!

The lone tree is awesome, but now with the photo of the picture, I see I didn't blend the apricot color well... but it could be like the sun rays are coming over the hill? I'll try and make another one... the swaying grass is fun.

This weeks Zindorf

A week from today I will be a much smarter artist! I'm taking a class with Michelle Zindorf, the card maker who gives such great tutorials, like the one that instructed me to create the card below! My card is hand drawn (doodled) as I've stated before, I often don't have any of the stamps Michelle uses in her tutorials, and I so badly want to try and recreate the shadows and gradual color techniques. It almost looks like a kalidoscope!

We are supposed to get a taste of spring here today! enjoy your Friday!!

Zentangle Highlowaha

So, do you feel I'm talking a new language with my header? Yesterday at Highlowaha we learned about Zentangles if you click the link it will show a You Tube clip of the one shown on Highlowaha. I used to do these kinds of doodles in the 70's. I didn't know they had a name. Here's my Zentangle with Ray Wattson and the HLA letters. Maybe I can put it on a card front!!!

Flower Bling

The same, yet different. So it was a 'stud' making card session this weekend. I used the studs for the flower centers to give it a little pop, a little bling! These cards are too easy to make, but many people like the simplicity... one layer!

First I cut out a rectangular template, and then used a blue ink to make a background color. Using a sponge, I just smooshed the ink into the paper. Next stamped with mellow moss the greenery (Stamps by Judith) using a mask at the bottom of the box gives it a clean line. Then using a pink SU! ink, I added the flowers. The HB is from a $1 bin, and then added the rhinestone studs.

How can you add a little bling to your day??

STUD muffin

Once again, creative greetings are flying off my shelves (jk) and I'm having fun casing out blogs to see the cutest images ever. I found this darling dino and terrific turtle! Simply adorable!!! Doodled them and used shading with different colored markers and then add some bling with crystal studs!

Sorry, I don't know who the images are by. After doodling them both and spotting a layout I liked, I put the cards together with scraps, embellished with ribbons and buttons and found my little crystal stud package and added the bling to the dino's back and to the turtle's flower! Fun and foolish! And way cute!

Yoga Baby Cards

I got an order for 8 cards for Charlie's mom, who is a yoga instructor. She likes to give out cards to her students... who must be pregnant yoga students, thus the yoga baby cards!!! Get it? All the cards have the same image, but the layout and paper is slightly different.
