Cuttlebugged Cards

Went to stamp camp this past weekend and had so much fun seeing cards up close and personal. It gives such a great perspective to try the product before buying, to try different techniques and to show others what I've learned either from the Stack Shack, Splitcoast Stampers, other people's personal blogs and websites. So, all of these cards have a cuttlebug background. You know, I never think of inking the embossed imagae... and that's all we did with the backgrounds. It triggers so many ideas!!! Love the color combinations of the Guava... and then the pinks, blues and greens. Sorry, my computer is in another part of the house than my craft stuff, and when I have a cold, I certainly (celery) can't remember all the names of products. Here are just a few cards I've worked on the past weekend. I had a volleyball tournament to watch, the Packer's game to drown my sorrows in, and this darn cold that is making me miserable.

Sweet Heart

Tried one of those pocket hearts that has been popular on SCS. I've seen a lot of posts about 'sending out Valentine' cards. Should I? Do you? It's so commercial!!!Personally, since I make cards, I think letting someone know you care about them is a great thing, ANY TIME! It's nice to have these holidays to work around the themes and colors. Heart day is not only for your Sweetie, but can now be related to the 'pink' for breast cancer awareness, and you can do so many cutie pie animals holding hearts or flowers.... all the pinks, purples, reds all work together!!! Sending cards for no reason is a great reason!!

Time Well Spent

Going to stamp camp this Saturday and I'm teaching/displaying the Criss Cross card witht he Friends/Time Well Spent stamp set. It's the coolest thing being loaned a SU! Demo's set and then creating (well for me, CASE-ing) the neat ways other people have used the stamp set. I really like the Criss cross card concept. I think it may be a little involved for some, but sometimes you have to do a bit more on a card, and the results are worth the extra effort.

Another *case*

Although I knew what I was doing, in case any anonymous blog readers out there want to know the official acronym for C.A.S.E. means.... C opy A nd S teal E verything. Guilty, that's me! It's so fun to case other people's work... now, quite obviously (well at least to me, that's my story and I'm sticking to it), what I'm stealing is the design concept.... I would have to admit unless completely a coinky dink.... materials I use are just what I have lying about... I don't go out and purchase products to 'reproduce' cards. Well, that's a lie too... I do have the Cuttlebug and often really case embossed backgrounds if I have them... okay, enough.... this is another {capture the moment} sympathy card. What I like about this card is the hole punch for the ribbon to go through. I'll have to make a few more to have on hand. Thanks for looking, and for forgiving me for CASE-ing!

Here's the real deal!!

Okay, some day I hope to be able to do this link stuff so you can just click on what I'm talking about (that is if you are truly intersted), but if you click on the box red x above, it should take you to the WHipper Snapper design that I completely copied. Mind you, I don't trace it, I can just doodle simple line images, and I love to do it!!!

Bear Hugs

Cute little bear that I've been casing. If you ever want to know what the orignal card looked like that I cased, just send me a comment. I often print off or copy the orignal card recipe one day, then create the card a few days later, and because I'm lazy (but very greatful to those creative card makers).... I don't give complete name/blog credit. Click on the x in the box, it should take you to the cute bear I completely copied, but I can't figure out how to do it!!!

So, after I drew this cute little bear (who by the way I think is Whipper Snapper designs) I used my NEW Paper Trey Nestabilities for the scallopped circle. I just love them! Found the correct sandwich and can run them through the Cuttlebug!! I normally use my regular water color pencils to color the images in. Also, just recently got the heart embossing folder. What neat cards the embossing Cuttlebug creates. Just love it!!
